From the Heat of Qatar to the Thrill of the Podium: A Weekend of Highs and Challenges in the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East!
This weekend, we were in Qatar for Round 2 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East. We were even supporting the penultimate round of Formula 1, which made it extra special. The track was amazing—fast, flowing, and with a surface so smooth there were no complaints! Qualifying was underwhelming, with a P6 for Race 1 and a P4 for Race 2.
Race 1: We got off to a good start and managed to move up to 3rd by Turn 4. Then, a red flag came out. When the race finally restarted, we had a mega restart and pulled off a great move between the 1st and 2nd cars, securing 2nd place for the remainder of the race. It was an incredible feeling to stand on a Formula 1 podium!
Race 2: This was highly disappointing. A massive impact from behind into Turn 1 caused the toe on the left rear tire to be completely out, meaning we had to endure a highly oversteery car for the entire race. We crossed the line in P4.
