Starting the race in P12 was disappointing in itself, so we were keen to make up positions during the race.
Race 1: I was the most nervous I have been in a long time. I felt a lot of apprehension about what was about to happen, as I just wanted to finish cleanly after the antics of last time out! We got away cleanly and well, and after lap 1, we were up to P10. From there, we had a few laps chasing down P9 and managed to overtake them on the entry to Turn 4. We stayed in P9 until the chequered flag, concluding an uneventful race.
Race 2: We started in P9 and stayed there until the end of the race—again, not very eventful!
Both races saw us finish P1 in class, putting us back in the championship lead despite not finishing the two races in the previous round. This was a great way to get back on track (excuse the pun!).
