An unfamiliar track and tough qualifying, but we turned it around with strong results and a bigger championship lead!
What a weekend!
I had doubts about this weekend being our first time at the track. Qualifying yesterday didn’t help matters, but I’m very happy we made the races work for us.
Race 1: We had a good start despite a bit of contact at Turn 1. This knocked the tracking out on the steering and threw off all the wheel weights, making it hard to keep control for the rest of the race. We held onto P2 in class and managed to finish 10th overall.
Race 2: We had a better start and made a bold move on lap one to take P1 in class. After that, it was all about managing the gap behind while also trying to push forward. We finished P8 overall and P1 in class.
We’ve extended our championship lead again to a healthy margin, so it’s positive all around!
